Since the Canadian CBSA report only captures entries into Canada, I went to the interview with entry/exit records for all the countries in my residency calculation that hadn't stamped my passport during the visits. I wouldn't say doing this is essential, there is often a cost involved and maybe it's overkill, but during my interview the citizenship officer did actually use all of the records to confirm my residency calculation dates. He did jokingly say I was very organized for doing this, but it did make the interview very quick and he said the application was approved at the end of it.
In order to share the knowledge, I thought it would be useful to start a thread on how to get entry/exit records for various countries. Here are three to get you started! I really hope this helps everyone and please contribute if you know the process to get these records for other countries!

Please don't post replies asking if anyone knows how to get documents for a specific country. If your country isn't here, go and do a bit of research and post back what you find. Eileenf's site is a good place to start: http://residencequestionnaire.wordpress.com/records-of-movement/
