Entering Canada after PR is approved

Hello,

As anyone recently entered Canada after there PR got approved and they got a CoPR? If so can you tell me what documents did you take with you, what did you do with immgration and what did you do when you entered Canada?

Here is what you need. PR holders that are travelling to Canada first time are known as Settlers. You should keep in mind anything related to 'settlers' in the link below.

Note: Not all documents are required. Usually all you need is your passport (with visa), COPR, proof of funds. Any goods that you may bring in later on (even if you don't plan to carry them on your first trip).

Thanks for your reply earlier. For proof of funds what proof did you show. I was advised to bring the minimum amount(12000$) for a PR holder to have in cash or demand drafts, but I do not want to risk it. Is it advisable to bring that much money to show as proof.
Also in the link you sent, it mentions about vaccinations. I am coming alone, so do I have to bring my vaccination records or just the medical I did for the PR process is enough

Proof of funds is the same thing you submitted with your application (preferably a more recent version of the same). But most people are not asked for it. As to how much money (cash, draft, checks, travel card etc.) you should bring depends upon your own circumstances. How much you need to survive until you start receiving pay is up to you. You should not bring more than 4000 or 5000. Certainly not a lot in cash, use more secure options like travel card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex etc.). If you bring more than 10,000 in cash or cash equivalents, you have to declare this.

Passport and CoPR are a must.

You should also prepare a list of all your belongings. Electronics like TV, Computers etc. must be listed individually with serial numbers. Jewellry must be accompanied by photographs. Other items can be grouped into broad categories like clothes, furniture, books etc. Each item/category must be assigned an estimated value in CAD. If you have other belongings that you plan to bring later, you should create a separate list of those as well.

Like @lampbreaker suggested don't need to bring in the complete amount. All you need is to have the proof available should they ask for it (usually they don't). If you submitted bank records claiming that amount older than 6 months just get a revised copy that is more recent. Don't worry about vaccinations, I haven't heard anyone bringing that record in. It might be needed when applying for a Health card, but I'm not sure.

I did my soft landing few months back and hope this helps.
I went from the US to Toronto. Below are the documents I had:

1. COPR ORIGINAL
2. PASSPORT (obviously)
3. Rough draft to fill up the ITEMS TO FOLLOW FORM you will receive from the immigration officer.
4. My bank’s online statement mentioning my current balance exceeding the minimum requirement (no 6 month average etc as I provided that proof in my application itself). I wasn’t asked about POF by the interviewing officer. I just carried my credit / debit card. No cash.

I also had my laptop with me which contains the soft copy of all the documents I used to submit my application.

This is sufficient. Keep it simple.
