NoHi, Does work experience in engineering field require engineering degree in the same field?
you can have a mechanical engineering degree and work in the construction idustryCan you elaborate please thanks
for your non canadian degrees you would ideally have to get an ECA. but I'm not sure if it is required in your case. you'd probably have to check with some of the senior members here.Do we still have to get ECA for bachelor to show the equivalency in Canadian engineering?
I’m getting education points as I have Canadian masters in another field but my work experience is engineering.
No because the whole purpose of ECA is for IRCC to know what your equivalancy be if you had studied in Canada. Since you have studied in Canada itself, it's pointless.Do we still have to get ECA for bachelor to show the equivalency in Canadian engineering?

So they would acknowledge the Engineering bachelor degree and transcript with no ECA ?No because the whole purpose of ECA is for IRCC to know what your equivalancy be if you had studied in Canada. Since you have studied in Canada itself, it's pointless.
You don’t need an assessment for a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate. So they would acknowledge the Engineering bachelor degree and transcript with no ECA ?
My bachelor of engineering is not from Canada. I have masters from CanadaYou don’t need an assessment for a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate.

Bachelor of chemical engineering from home but masters of computer engineering from Canada. My work experience is chemical engineering. I have my bachelore and transcript certified translated. Wondering if I have to get ECA for my bachelor to prove I have university education in chemical engineering. You don’t need an assessment for a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate.

An engineering graduate may work as business/financial analyst, a commerce graduate may work as a web developer, microbiologist may work as a teacher and so on.. what is relevant is to have a degree and job that is specified under NOC, two are independent, of course with exceptions of regulated fields such as medicine..Can you elaborate please thanks
I would’ve kept it evaluated, in case if requested in further process. I’m not sure but may be required if you plan on becoming Professional Engineer in Canada as chemical being your primary profession and not computers.Bachelor of chemical engineering from home but masters of computer engineering from Canada.
