Can you elaborate please thanks
you can have a mechanical engineering degree and work in the construction idustry
you can have an electrical engineering degree and yet work in the aviation industry

what matters more is your NOC code and its subsequent job descriptions to match with your actual job description.

Do we still have to get ECA for bachelor to show the equivalency in Canadian engineering?
I’m getting education points as I have Canadian masters in another field but my work experience is engineering.

for your non canadian degrees you would ideally have to get an ECA. but I'm not sure if it is required in your case. you'd probably have to check with some of the senior members here.

but seeing that you are working in an engineering field and an engineering degree would be a requirement, I'd guess that an ECA would be essential.

No because the whole purpose of ECA is for IRCC to know what your equivalancy be if you had studied in Canada. Since you have studied in Canada itself, it's pointless.

So they would acknowledge the Engineering bachelor degree and transcript with no ECA ?

Bachelor of chemical engineering from home but masters of computer engineering from Canada. My work experience is chemical engineering. I have my bachelore and transcript certified translated. Wondering if I have to get ECA for my bachelor to prove I have university education in chemical engineering.

An engineering graduate may work as business/financial analyst, a commerce graduate may work as a web developer, microbiologist may work as a teacher and so on.. what is relevant is to have a degree and job that is specified under NOC, two are independent, of course with exceptions of regulated fields such as medicine..

I would’ve kept it evaluated, in case if requested in further process. I’m not sure but may be required if you plan on becoming Professional Engineer in Canada as chemical being your primary profession and not computers.

What do you suggest for EE?
