If you read my original comment, I asked Ottawa if I could fax the forms. Which I did.

My intent in emailing them was to ensure my file had arrived. We'd gotten sponsor approval just the week before. I wanted to make sure my new forms would have a file to match with when they got there.

There are three pages of comments.

Most people wouldn't fax, e-mail and provide a hard copy of a form that simply required the original. They would submit the original recorded with a cover note stating their client ID. Ultimately the e-mail and fax are of no use if they don't receive the original and put it in your file.

Anyway, good luck.

PCKUMAR, yes that's the Ottawa CPO email ID. After how long did you get a reply from CIC?

I did send the PCC thru Canada post and it was delivered to the mail room. I am following up with CIC since 2 weeks for a reply but no luck yet.

Did you get a reply ?

It has been 2 weeks now since I sent a 2nd reminder requesting CIC to confirm that they are in possession of PCC which I have mailed thru Canada Xpresspost but there has been no reply. Should I be sending a 3rd reminder? Any suggestions please...

I wouldn't. Sending repeated reminders will only annoy them.

I guess they have missed your email since it takes only few hours or a day to acknowledge receipt of a PCC.
In my case, I had sent my child's documents a month ago but never received a reply from them. Sent another reminder 7 days ago but no response. I guess I'll leave it as it is :)

I think they just don't want to answer such emails. Reason being its a waste of their time and you can use xpresspost or courier if you want a delivery confirmation. Same thing happened to me, even within the same email they ignored this type of question and addressed my other inquiry.

Any more reminders sent and not received a response ?

So I got a confirmation from them recently. what a sigh of relief :)

repeated reminders will simply annoy them.

your tracking number and delivery certificate on canada post will serve as a solid proof of receipt at cpp (O)

Hi ,

I applied for FSW in April 2010 and applied for CEC in OCT 2012 .
I did upfront medicals and sent the original FORM IMM1017 B (DMP asked me to send this ) to Ottawa 15 days ago. I put the file number of my CEC
as assumption is CEC is suppose to move faster than FSW .

Surprisingly 2 days after they received my medical FORM I received a standard email to get my Medicals Exams and Pay RPRF fees for the FSW Application [ 1st file].
I am not sure if the medical request I received has anything to do with Medical form IMM 1017B which we sent .

2 days ago I sent the scanned copies of Form IMM 1017B (Medical Reports) and medical receipt to OttPilot-immigration @ cic.gc.ca along with
FSW file number details .
Quickly after 6 hours I got below response from that email -id . Which looks good .

The below information has been added to your file.

However, I noticed that they have changed the subject line of the email to my CEC file number .

I guess they have a system which automatically maps email ID to latest file numbers
and even though I mentioned my FSW file number in both Subject line and details in the email body subject line got changed.

Now, I am worried that the FSW officer might not even see this medical form attached to my file .

Should I email them ask them something like "Is the information added to the right file i.e. FSW and Do I need to re do the medicals if its not added ? "
OR
Should I wait for 2-3 days and check e-cas status on both of my PR's.

Regards,
lrow

Hey everyone

I realized about a month ago that I had in fact applied and sent in the wrong police check. So I applied for a new and correct one and sent it off to the Sydney office by mistake. I didn't realize a the time that my application had been forwarded to Ottawa. Anyway, I sent Sydney an email explaining this and asking them to forward my PC to the Ottawa office and asking for a confirmation email that they had done this. Over a week went by and no reply. I emailed Ottawa on the Monday 27th May and had a reply from them the following day!! This is what they wrote:

Dear Sir/Madam,
We have received your police certificates and attached it to your file.
No further action is required by you at this time.
An immigration officer will be in contact with you if any further correspondence is needed.
We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

I was very impressed with their response time and the fact they confirmed they had my new PC as I have heard sometimes they won't waste their "precious" time with requests like that.

Just thought I would share
Cheers

Bona...yea. I read here that some applicants who sent their new passport copies - never got confirmation from CPP-Ottawa. I sent a scanned copy of my passport and got a confirmation that its attached to my file.

CIC acts in mysterious ways :)
