•Do not send repeat enquiries, this includes sending the same enquiry by multiple means, as it creates confusion and can delay our reply.

This is from CPP-Ottawa's information on CIC's website. It's under the "fax" information, but it says by multiple means and repeat inquiries. I would take that to mean do not email them multiple times.

I emailed them last week. My question was very generic. (Basically: Can I fax corrected forms to you?) They replied in 25 hours. It may take longer for case-specific replies.

Also, just a suggestion - include multiple ways to identify you. I included my full name - first, middle, and last, plus date of birth, application number, and my client ID number.
I agree with you on NOT sending repeat inquiries but I guess this will be the first time when I will be sending them a gentle reminder for my basic query that has been probably missed by them. I have always received a reply from them.

Multiple means would mean email, mail and fax that I haven't exercised ever.

I only wanted to confirm whether they received my documents that had been sent a month ago so that I can look forward to a further update.

Is it mandatory to provide all the information (full name - first, middle, and last, plus date of birth, application number, and my client ID number) for every query. I have always provided just the file number and received a response.

Send original Police Certificates to:

Case Processing Pilot – Ottawa
219 Laurier Avenue West, 7th floor, section B
Ottawa, Ontario K1A 1L1
Canada

Use Canada Xpresspost and opt for the signature option so that someone will sign the package upon delivery and you can track everything online. I think you can also use Fedex but I have always sent by Canada post.

Did you receive a response from CIC ? Did you send them a reminder on top of your previous email or a separate email ?

Not mandatory, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I too sent my FBI Clearance(PCC) thru Canada post early january and I sent an email Ottawa(OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca) on Feb 22 to confirm whether they received them or not. They confirmed on the same day(within 6 hours) that they haven't received the PCC's. I don't know what to do know :(. Should I reapply for the FBI Clearance?? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thanks..

Did Canada post say it was delivered?

Did you provide the CIC with the tracking number, date of receipt, and copy of the signature?

I didn't send it with tracking, as the address we have to send is to a P.O. Box. Is this not the right address?
CPP – Ottawa
P. O. Box 9640
Ottawa, ON, K1A 0C1

I just provided the AOR#.

Oh, then that's my mistake :(
I followed the wordings/statement received in my AOR email and hence sent it to CPP-Ottawa:
Any future correspondence should be sent to the visa office as indicated on your application

I guess now I have to get the PCC's again ??? and send it to the right address.

Thanks Yahoo for the information.

You did send it to the visa office (CPP-O) as indicated in your AOR email but this is a P.O Box from where the visa officer will have to collect it.

If you had sent it directly to the other address in Ottawa, you would not have faced the problem.

Anyways, you can send an email to CPP-O letting them know that you sent your PCC by mistake to the P.O box. May be you get a response. Good Luck !
