Guys, can you stop on this ever-ending debate? Instead of fighting and blaming each other can we trust on some authentic source rather to believe on hearsay or the rumors which people are spreading?

I seriously hope that Govt. should give atleast 3 months time-frame once they announce to make the rest of provisions as law, probably, if they declare at June 2015 then the effective date should be in Sep, 2015, I hope someone from Govt. is hearing my voice (potential Canadian and vote for the election) :P

I thought that all the bold ones are directed at me, and that's why I said that I don't really care if I will be Canadian or not.
Now I understand that your post is directed to the public.
Cheers

And your post illustrate my point that you like to take every word as face value, literal meaning, without realizing I was talking about the public in general.

I suppose when someone asked you to kill the lights on your way out, you pull out a gun and shoot the lightbulb?

Absolutely possible scenario nadeem55.
The change is just too big and there should be enough notice in advance for the people who are interested to become Canadians . So far there is nothing official that can confirm when that change will happen.
If there is no official information, then the chances for a delay are getting bigger.

Advance notice? How about the fact that the bill passed last year, and the government provided a notice period of one year before implementing these provisions?

And the cut off date is...? When?
I see that maybe only for you that question is clear, so say to the people the cut off date?

Does it really matter? The cutoff date is whenever the government decides. In the interim, they have provided everyone with notice that these changes are coming.

How will announcing the cutoff date help anyone "prepare" as you assert? Either people qualify under the old rules or they don't. I don't really see the point of speculating and furthering this thread with pure conjecture.

MUFC just want to give false hope to others that they can beat the 4/6 rule by giving hope that it will be delayed.

We all know that something is coming but nobody knows exactly when... of course that the cut off date matters for the people, why do you think they keep on asking.
The government is playing with them, by keeping the date in mystery.

The only one "playing with them" is you by providing baseless false hope that this will be delayed.

Can somebody prove that it will be definitely enforced on a specific date, moths, season...?

if u cant submit application b4 july 1st, what is the point of asking?
CIC already give most applicants 1 yr break since the bill passed parliament last year

Yes for now it seems clear that everybody who is eligible and submit application before 1st July will be processed in the 3 out of 4 years rule.

u know, the easiest way is to check http://www.gazette.gc.ca/gazette/home-accueil-eng.php

All government departments publish their upcoming law, enforcement, etd here.
so once CIC has decides the effective date for new residence requirement, it will publish here.
instead of guessing what, when, and how CIC will do it, just make sure u dont leave Canada for even 1 day, so even if u need to wait for 1 more year, it goes by fast.

done

Amen to that.
