I got CIC request of sending my passport 5 days ago! I submitted my application on Feb 15. BC PNP.
That is great. I got my BC PN and submitted on April 1st. Still no movement, so I guess provincial nominees wait longer. Congrats again!

Thanks & Congrats Again. Did you receive any updates on your profile, like the medical changing to passed, background check to in progress, etc?
I don't remember they send me any updates. Maybe those emails went to my lawyer.I can ask my lawyer when I pick up my passport from him. lol

Hi

Yesterday, my EE application status changed in myCIC account:

Medicals: Passed (from not needed at this time)
BG check: In progress (from not needed at this time)

However, my ECAS status is still same which says your application was received, and started processing. Only 2 lines basically, my ECAS status is IN PROCESS.

Today, I received an email from CIC saying that your application has been updated, but I dont see any update. Any idea what it means? I am a bit concerned as people have had rejections/cancellations at this stage.

If the medical passed, doesn't that mean they have approved the eligibility? Also ECAS status is slower than myCIC. If i where you i wouldnt worry about rejections. i think you are for the most part good. Also can you share your exact timeline?

Im starting to think that if you have a few months left on WP they drop you to the bottom of the pile and work on those that have less time left. Pritty much the way i see it. I have seen 3 guys now in town that received emails from CIC saying they must stop working and 3-4 weeks they all back smiling as they have PPR. Way i see it maybe been proactive trying not to run out of time works against the application
That would make sense as there are people, who were able to apply with freshly issued LMIA - if CIC processes them in few weeks, it is almost certain the employer will lose them because they will be free to move wherever they want to and change profession in many cases. So that would be loss of time and money and a worker for the employer and they would apply for another LMIA right away and bring another foreign worker, who will apply for work permit and will keep CIC even busier. I think they will make people, who applied based on new LMIA to work for their employer for some time and not let them go that fast.
But it is just a thought....

My husband's WP - and so does mine - expire on May 5th. We got nomination on March 20th and at that point we had everything ready with our consultant, just waited for PCC form US. We needed guidance because we couldn't risk that we will miss something and also needed to submit PR application and BOWP before our current WP expires.

We are just at the beginning of the whole process but we are very positive and kinda relieved because my husband is a cook and CEC kicked out cooks basically right after he got LMO for that. PNP is difficult for cooks - you have to get red seal which is quite challenging, so this was our last shot. Crossing fingers for us, you and everyone struggling with the PR here. May your dreams come true!

HI All,

There are 2 pieces of information that I would like to share:
1. A response from CIC regarding my Case Specific Inquiry
2. An Update on my application

First, it is a response from CIC regarding a Case Specific Inquiry that I submitted on April 3, 2015. I was inquiring why some applications are moving ahead of others even the slower ones are of more points and higher NOC. The response I received is quoted as follow:

"Thank you for your enquiry into your case. We are committed to processing 80% of complete applications within six months. Your application is going through the required assessment process. You included several pieces of information with your application that allows us to go through greater scrutiny and assessment. Be assured that we dedicate all our efforts to processing the applications as quickly as possible."

Hopefully that will help sheds light on some of the slower applications.

Second, I have received an update in MyCIC account today requesting 2 pieces of additional documents:
- Police Certificate from HK
- Updated Schedule A with Signature regarding a specific period

Also, my medical exam is set to passed.

Hopefully those of you who haven't receive any updates and are from the first batch of invitation will receive updates soon. Chances are, you have included extra information that allows CIC to go through "deeper" search of your background before anything can be updated.

Good Luck.
