I think FIFO is fair but the implementation was very brash. Providing limited spots makes sense IF there is a barrier to occupying the spot. Barrier can be taking processing fee upfront while the interest to sponsor form is filled, ensuring that only eligible candidates apply.

I agree, if Canada can take in so many refugees and shower them with loads of money every year, parents of Canadians and PR holders should also get a right. The way they make faces when it comes to parents and grandparents immigration is very unfortunate.

My daughter is also in my application, she is almost 5 years old. We did not receive any appointment for her but the test document says that she has to meet the citizenship officer as she is less than 18. Any idea how this works?
