hi,

My Score is 450. i have only made EOI profile in January and nothing has been updated/changed since then.

Any idea if the score will come down? Also, initially they were giving 1500+ ITAs , why have they reduced to half??

In two months, it will be September. We can finally find out if that famous immigration officer speech's claim is true regarding the invites reaching thousands by then.

CRS :405
will be re giving IELTS
The scores are not dropping

Question : When will OINP restart
2. When can we expect Sibling points to be added in CRS score

^ I am waiting for the same thing too... I have a sister in AB and I am still waiting for nomination in SK. CRS point requirement is not dropping in the draws and I just had my birthday recently. CRS now less 5 points :( Sibling point addition is a big help for my point increase.... but when? :'(

Unfortunately, I don't think it will happen until they overhaul the point system itself. Because they will need to understand how many points (weightage can be given).

If may turn out to be a big difference in points (~25) or a really small one (~5).

^ if the prime minister mentioned an increase in points for applicants with siblings in Canada, it should be a BIG difference. How can it be felt if the point difference are just small? What's the point of even making any change?

below 450 CRS... all should look for increasing CRS to 470 levels or go for getting Provincial Nomination..
that is the only way ahead..

Hi All, new on here and some great advice in this thread which has opened my knowledge up to Provincial noms

Been in EE for 3 months now with a score of 438 as plan to join my common-law PR currently residing in Calgary.

Above CLB9 on my IELTS so not much room for improvement there, going to do TEF in 2-3 months to try and increase my score in case draws drop below 450 (...and revive my French skills) but otherwise going to look and see if I can use my A Levels from England to get more points under the "Two or more degrees or certificates" criteria as have my 3yr BSc but it is very unclear if an ECA for A Levels would secure this... I know education systems are different! Any advice or knowledge from all of you would be great?!

Plan B is to pursue a Masters in UK or CA but not sure how easy it is to get a study permit yet!

Good luck everyone :)

Am I missing something? Why not go for spousal sponsored PR if you are in a common law relationship?

Yeah apply for spousal sponsorship since that would be the easiest route for you. Additionally, regarding the BSc, if you have done any other course after that it should be valid for the Two or more courses category.

However, only an ECA evaluation can tell you the final result :)

Thanks both. Would be the natural stream to pursue but is problematic as whilst my partner holds PR status, her card has expired and is unable to renew this until 2017. She was (thankfully) only just allowed through airport immigration to return from studies/1yr of work in the UK to Canada as a PR this summer as she was just short of the required amount of days a PR needs to reside in Canada in order to renew their residency card. Last thing we want is for her to have PR revoked or status lost through her application to be a sponsor as we would then both need to battle through EE etc :o

Now the score reached 490 and keeps getting higher every cycle :/...I'm starting to lose hope since my score is only 453 :/
