Unfortunately, I don't think it will happen until they overhaul the point system itself. Because they will need to understand how many points (weightage can be given).zen2x said:^ I am waiting for the same thing too... I have a sister in AB and I am still waiting for nomination in SK. CRS point requirement is not dropping in the draws and I just had my birthday recently. CRS now less 5 points Sibling point addition is a big help for my point increase.... but when? :'(
Am I missing something? Why not go for spousal sponsored PR if you are in a common law relationship?qaawill said:Hi All, new on here and some great advice in this thread which has opened my knowledge up to Provincial noms
Been in EE for 3 months now with a score of 438 as plan to join my common-law PR currently residing in Calgary.
Above CLB9 on my IELTS so not much room for improvement there, going to do TEF in 2-3 months to try and increase my score in case draws drop below 450 (...and revive my French skills) but otherwise going to look and see if I can use my A Levels from England to get more points under the "Two or more degrees or certificates" criteria as have my 3yr BSc but it is very unclear if an ECA for A Levels would secure this... I know education systems are different! Any advice or knowledge from all of you would be great?!
Plan B is to pursue a Masters in UK or CA but not sure how easy it is to get a study permit yet!
Good luck everyone
Yeah apply for spousal sponsorship since that would be the easiest route for you. Additionally, regarding the BSc, if you have done any other course after that it should be valid for the Two or more courses category.Pippin said:Am I missing something? Thanks both. Would be the natural stream to pursue but is problematic as whilst my partner holds PR status, her card has expired and is unable to renew this until 2017. She was (thankfully) only just allowed through airport immigration to return from studies/1yr of work in the UK to Canada as a PR this summer as she was just short of the required amount of days a PR needs to reside in Canada in order to renew their residency card. Last thing we want is for her to have PR revoked or status lost through her application to be a sponsor as we would then both need to battle through EE etcPiyushAgrawal06121985 said:Yeah apply for spousal sponsorship since that would be the easiest route for you. However, only an ECA evaluation can tell you the final result
