Unless you have "Two or more degrees" or "Masters degree" then you can get an additional 25 points if your CLB is 9

I already have a Bachelors & Masters degree. Both equivalent to Canada degrees as certified by WES.

So basically your age is dropping your score and seems like PNP is the only way to go for you.

431 points and waiting for the OINP. They say in their website, they will start sending NOI after November 2016. I have very high hopes and waiting only for that to happen.

:( Everyone is telling me the same thing! PNP! But most of the provinces have a requirement of job offer letter, which I dont have. So I wonder how & which PNP can be beneficial to me? Plus, whats the procedure to go about the PNP way? Is there any thread here that explains it in detail?

Based on my knowledge, you currently have the option of only Price Edward Island (PEI). You would need to google the details as this province doesn't need a job offer.

Getting 438 score, thought of applying for OINP but then bad news came that OINP has stopped giving nomination. Disheartened :'( by this news don't know what to do was counting on this nomination to get invite.

It is just a temporary freeze, no need to be disheartened. I have 431 and waiting for the OINP same as you. I am full of hope, I'll just use this freeze period to prepare myself.

Prepare for what??? document collection??
Is this temporary freeze till Nov? Can we create EE profile till then or is it advisable to create profile in Nov itself?

SINP, NSPNP, PEIPNP, and NBPNP are open for applicants without job offer. You just need to do more reading and research about this provincial nominations for options. Do not get disheartened. Good Luck!

Preparing can also mean getting ready to move mentally. This is a big step, I have a life here and if everything goes alright it may change drastically in 6-7 months.

Also, In the meantime I will be checking the documents that I will need after I receive the invitation, and learning the places where I can get them, also the procedures.

I may need to take IELTS again, so I will prepare for that too.

I can save some more cash.

If you are not invited when OINP starts sending invitations, in that case you can recreate your profile. For now, we just need to wait. It is not a long time in my opinion.

Dear learned members,

Would like to understand, if I can do something different from my present situation. My spouse (wife) is the main applicant and 421 is the CRS.

We have achieved this CRS on the basis -

1. Main applicant age 35+
2. IELTS score of band 8 - CLB 9 in two and CLB 10 in two for the main applicant,
3. Two or more degrees & diplomas for main applicant
4. More than three years of foreign work experience
5. No relatives in Canada, no experience in canada, no education in canada

1. I am the dependent with age 40+
2. Masters education (10 points added in the score)
3. IELTS scheduled for the June 2016. (max points that can be added is 20)
4. No relatives in Canada, no experience in canada, no education in canada

We were hoping for OINP and got all the documents ready for the same. However, the same is paused for the moment and not sure about how the things will open up in future. Though, we also see a hope as per the minister's statement that October 2016 onwards, we can see large number for invitation, would like to check on the following -

1. Are there any points related to kids? We have two kids.
2. We also have extra funds (other than minimum required) that we can bring to Canada, if allowed? Are there any extra points for the same?

At this moment, I dont see anything working for us related to immigration. Any guidance please.

We are loosing the points just because of the age. It is very hard for the middle aged professionals to cross 450.

Thank you,
Pawshi

^ keep an eye for SINP. They might open in the next few months. PEI is also open. You just need to check your options. ON is closed until November so since then, you can open your options to other provinces. Good Luck!
