I agree.LokiJr01 said:I don't mean to offend anyone, but you can't be too picky on the province when the crs score is not that high.
If you score 500 or higher by all means go to Ontario. But realistically speaking, why not go for the other provinces first? At the end of the day, it still accomplishes the goal of getting to Canada.
Express Entry is hardly 2 years old but you can see just how much more competitive the immigration market has become in a short span of time. I'd rather exhaust all options now than wait for something uncertain in the future hehe
Scores may or may not drop. Don't rely on the news coming around until you actually see the scores fall.holbond said:Guys any idea when these scores are going to drop?
Definitely retake the test. I don't think revaluation helps. Also how come Ur score will be only 450 after clb9? I think it should be 469 if u score clb9 in all levelsash1287 said:My profile:

IELTS screwed me
MY IELTS score:L=8, R=9,W=6.5,S=7.5 . I knew I missed couple of questions in listening but I was expecting 7.5 in writing. I thought I did a good job.
My CRS as of now comes as 405.
If I had gotten at least 7 in writing, my CRS would have been 450.
We all know how ridiculous this sounds and many has gone through this.
I'm thinking if it is worth applying for re-evaluation. It's costly to apply. Does it even work? Do they change score often?
Has anyone done that before?
Should I just re-appear and try to get writing of min 7 ?

Skill transfer is 50 in the second case and 25 in the first case since u have a master's degree. Is the score 405 given by cic tool?ash1287 said:Hi holbond,
How will it be 469? Am I missing anything?
My current scores..
Age : 110
Masters: 135
L: CLB9: 31
R: CLB10: 34
S: CLB10: 34
W: CLB8: 23
Skill transfers : 13
Work Exp: 25
Total points = 405
If I increase my writing just by 0.5; then my score will be
Age : 110
Masters: 135
L: CLB9: 31
R: CLB10: 34
S: CLB10: 34
W: CLB9: 31
Skill transfers : 25
Work Exp: 50
Total points = 450
I see. May be I'm miss understanding.holbond said:Skill transfer is 50 in the second case and 25 in the first case since u have a master's degree. Is the score 405 given by cic tool?
Probably you'll stand at 475 based on your profile.ash1287 said:I see. May be I'm miss understanding.
No, I calculated by myself. I haven't created my profile yet.
Thanks.
I see. I will just re-take the test and create profile in the meantime. I don't understand the writing score being so low. I have been reading, apparently IDP does that. 9s in L/R but 6s in W/S. For some people, score has changed by 0.5 and I only need increase of 0.5. I could apply for re-evaluation but it will take 2 monthsrebelhero said:Probably you'll stand at 475 based on your profile.
Well, as per me I think speaking and writing go hand in hand. If you are good speaker then you will try to put your words into writing but a few mistakes might happen here and there which means you have a chance of scoring a half band/one band less than speaking. To avoid those mistakes, you will have to work on your skills. Improving writing does require lot of effort but to increase by 0.5 shouldn't be that difficult.ash1287 said:I see.
