I put French as first language so I got 83 points in the CRS calculator and for Ielts only 15 (as second language).munjal said:Hi mahhek,
You got really impressive score in ielts.. congratulations for this..
Regarding French, you can inquire about it nearest centre of Alliance Francaise.. they are the best for French language teaching. I have studied it for one year from Alliance Francaise and reached upto A2 level (but that was DELF certification, and it is not valid for EE).
And let me tell you this.. TEF is really tough exam and even native speakers find it difficult .. due to its structure. It has negative marking, so if you are looking to get good score in TEF, you must invest good amount of time say 6 months to 1 year.
Also French language has its own accent and writing style, which you must learn to get good grasp on the language.
Hope, this info will be helpful to you.
Good luck for your Application

IELTS results: R7, W6.5 and L & S 6
Do you think that if I repeat IELTS test and get better points then I will have more points added to the total CRS (and if so, how many points max. taken into consideration IELTS is my second language?).
Thanks for an answer
For that IELTS or their corresponding CLBs (R-9, W-8, L-7, S-7) you should score 18 points instead of 15. And if English were chosen as your 1st official language, you would end up with 83 again. Not sure what your French score would be if French were taken as 2nd official language.NicoleD said:I put French as first language so I got 83 points in the CRS calculator and for Ielts only 15 (as second language).

I believe to scoring higher is better than waitin for the score to drop to 400. There are thousands of people who falls in between 400s. For instance, if it drops to 400 then the probability of getting an ita is very low. Better is to jump to the cliff and raise the flag rather than being one standing in a crowded place.mahhek said:Nobody can say this for sure. Not even an immigration consultant. I went to one for an advise today and according to them, they are expecting it to drop to 400. Not lower than that. They said that we have to wait till the end of the year (patiently) and HOPEFULLY it will drop All I can say here is "May the odds be ever in our favor ;D"
Yup I agree. But my only chance comes from learning French, which itself will take a lot of time and effort :-X . Else I can't go beyond 427. For the rest of you, keep tryingaffan_123 said:I believe to scoring higher is better than waitin for the score to drop to 400. There are thousands of people who falls in between 400s. You can't claim Certificate of Qualification - that is only for skilled trades and Nursing isn't one of those.Ashdeep said:Hi,
I need some help regarding express entry. I am registered nurse in Ontario since August 2014 and will be completing one year of experience in August 2015 . I have full time permanent job without LMIA. My CRS score is only 454 as I checked on cic website but I have a license to work as a nurse in Ontario . So should I say yes for certification of qualification or no.
Thank you .
