Hi Friends,

I am new here and my CSR for now is 416 (L:8.5, R:9, W:7, S:7.5). My MBA credentials are sent for WES evaluation and once its back I should get another 40 pts added to my score, which should make 456

I got my PT for OONP but am still in a dilemna whether I should apply or not. I remember seeing somewhere they have a target of just 5200 intakes this yr. Doesnt that mean it's a very less probability of getting through Ontario? Also $1500 will be lost in the process. Instead I feel I can wait with 456 score to be picked in one of the draws. What do you suggest guys?
It is actually 2700 through EE and the remaining through their usual process.

456 is an on-the-line score given that the lowest cutoff was 453 (once each in Mar and Apr). You've 45 days to respond to the PT. Recommend that you wait for another draw to see where the cutoff is headed this time around.

All the best!

Thanks for the suggestion Asivad. But its going to take atleast another 20 days before I hear from WES. So even if the draw happens I might miss the bus for now. But by then almost 35 days would be done for OONP. That's why am a bit confused. Do you still feel waiting till my score goes up is a better option?

In that case, I think you should proceed with OOPNP immediately. 1500 CAD may sound like a steep ask for such a gamble but it'll be worth it on getting those 600 points.

All the best!

Hi ezhilan81,
Congrats bro for getting PT.. :)
I suggest you to accept OOPNP... as there are very slim chances of getting CRS fall again to 450 levels.. thanks to OOPNP, next draw levels will be to higher crs levels.

Anyways, if you accept OOPNP now, you will have more 60 days to submit your documents, so you will get this time to collect all documents.

Hi Munjal,

Thanks for the wishes bro. I still have a doubt. As of now my CRS is 416. But once I get the WES done, it will change to 456. Now if I apply for OONP I will be at 416 only. So will this affect my draw in lets say 20 days time when I can revise my score to 456. Will I be allowed to change it and will that in anyway affect OONP since I wud've applied at 416?

To ezhilan81,
You can apply for oopnp with a score of 416, the same score will stay in EE till you get your WES done and update it. The thing is accepting Oopnp means you have to send all your documents with a fee of 1500$ writhing 45 days. Now what happens next is if your Oopnp is still in process and you receive regular ITA with 456 points or even 416, Oopnp won't return your fee of 1500$. Basically you will have to withdraw your OOpNP application. Or reject regular ITA and wait for a nomination.
But the thing is that as long as you apply for OoPNP you still have your regular EE profile witch you can modify and update. but as soon as you get OOpNP nomination and accept it in your EE profile you will be selected for ITA under PnP category and jot as FSW or CEc.

I have a score of 419. I am trying to get my husband's degree assess, that will give us 8 more points. Also, I have applied for my IELTS score revaluation. I have R 9 L 8.5 S 8 W 7. If my writing band increases to 7.5, I will get 3 additional points. I really want to make it to 430. I have a question. Did any one of you studied French to score points? Like giving a test for the TEF. Is it easy to do so? Any online preparation sites or amazon books?

Hi mahhek,
You got really impressive score in ielts.. congratulations for this.. :)

Regarding French, you can inquire about it nearest centre of Alliance Francaise.. they are the best for French language teaching. I have studied it for one year from Alliance Francaise and reached upto A2 level (but that was DELF certification, and it is not valid for EE).
And let me tell you this.. TEF is really tough exam and even native speakers find it difficult .. due to its structure. It has negative marking, so if you are looking to get good score in TEF, you must invest good amount of time say 6 months to 1 year.
Also French language has its own accent and writing style, which you must learn to get good grasp on the language.
Hope, this info will be helpful to you.
Good luck for your Application :)

Thank you so much for your help :) I think I better stay away from French Language then. I took French as a course during my BSCS. I scored good so I thought, may be :D life is a bit complicated when you are trying to move out of the country and everyone having a score higher than you is giving up and they feel like they don't stand a change. Hope is the only thing we have, lets try to keep it :)
