guys...checked my ECAS today and found the following explanation when you click the "IN PROCESS" tab..

We received your application for permanent residence on May 1, 2009.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on June 4, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

We transferred your application to the London England office on June 17, 2009. The London England office may contact you.

these are my timelines:

Send Initial Appli = May 1
Received CIO Email = June 4
Submitted Full Docs = July 30
ECAS Status Change (OLD FILE Number) = August 16 (from WITHDRAWN to IN PROCESS)

Note that I haven't got any AOR from London Visa Office as of this time. Are they going to mail or email to us the AOR and the new file number?

Appreciate your input should you have experience of the same kind?

As per CIC website, processing should be under the following steps and and I do not know if these is normal, skipping 2 steps to be on the status of "IN PROCESS". Hope this is a good sign.

This ECAS system was developed by some school kids, who were playing around with words and dates.

That is why the status sometimes shows in reverse order, sometimes does not make sense, sometimes makes perfect sense and sometimes makes you laugh!!

Dont trust eCAS if you are from Buffalo!!!

Hi Cap2canada,

I also sent my full application to Visa Office on the 23rd of June and until today my e.cas still has only the information from Nova Scotia. No e.mail from them and no mail, but the only thing i am certain is that, they have received my application. I checked my e.cas and i saw the new address i had on my full application so i am a little happy .

lets keep updating so we can know how to guess when what happens to the applications.

Thanks

Canadaforall.

hi CPA2CANADA,
Thanks for your reply. I am pretty sure the change in your status is more of a good sign than anything else. There should be no cause for alarm at this point. Goodluck to everyone of us and more prayers.......
