My ECAS says : "IN PROCESS" but I don't see a line for background check in progress.

Timeline is here
AOR: June 30
Additional Docs: July 10
Medicals Passed: July 10
ECAS in Process: September 3

thoughts?

My CIC stays background check not started.

So should I be looking out for background check to go in progress or can I expect a decision directly?

I've read a few members of this forum that have already received their PR and their background check never went to "in Progress". I have that same status, ECAS in process; in myCIC background check - not started

It seems to work for some outlanders that background check in progress means real progress toward a decision. For others, it happens early and stays that way for a long time. Mine still says that, and I got PPR yesterday.

Hard to find a pattern here as cases are different based on many factors such as outland vs inland.....

I'm inland and my BG check was in progress for so many weeks (and still is) despite receiving PPR!

They require passport to be valid at least 6 month before issuing CoPR/Visa

Could you kindly provide me an advice! I am an inland applicant, May. I did not know about passport validity issue.
When I have applied for PR, my passport was valid for 6 months.
Now my current passport expires in December, 2015, i.e. in 3 months.
My ECAS is "In Process". I have not received any passport requests so far.
If I apply for a new passport, it will take approximately 3 months to obtain one. I am on "Implied status" right now.
What to do?

You need to apply for the new PP immediately. CIC will not give you a visa if your PP expires in less than six months. In the meantime, if you get PPR, you can explain why you're taking more than the 30 days to submit the PP.

Why didn't you apply for a new PP when you started this process?

You MUST get a new passport as quickly as possible. They will NOT give you your PR visa on a passport valid for less than 6 months. Yampower is right, you really should have applied for the new one as soon as your got an ITA.

You're worried after 3 WEEKS? Remember that CIC has up to 6 months to process your application. After the initial activity on mine, from the beginning of May to the middle, there were 3 MONTHS of silence before things picked up again in mid-August and concluded in early September. Patience. You're fine! It's a long road.

Got DM today. Bit anxious as it looks little early for my timeline.

It's not early. You applied via CEC which is super fast!!

Agreed...looking at some of you guys timelines..it's taken you months to get where I've reached in a matter of weeks. Only thing slowing me down is I couldn't apply for my local PCC ahead of time as my home country requires a formal request from CIC.

Got Decision Made :o :o Thank you Lord in advance... I pray for PPR soon :)
