Now you will not get ghost email, but hopefully a relief email with your passport submission request...

There will be no update in Mycic or in Ecas, just a email in your inbox.

You can try calling the CIC and see if an agent is willing/able to look at your file. They might be more sympathic to you since you have been waiting for a long time and not just calling after a few days. Good luck!

I think maybe there is "queue" for PPR.
Most PPRers from these days are applicants from April and early May. They already wait for a long time. Maybe CIC is clearing backlogs first, then give out PPR to applicants from late May and June.

Just got em email from CIC aking for a copy of a new passport since the one i have now expires in 5 months.
It had 7.2 months of validity when I applied.

True. I was hoping my work permit be issued so I can renew my visa and passport prior to that.
Guess I have to hush it out now.

ECAS doesn't show specific details regarding different sections of the application process other than medical, Background and other sections such as additional documents or medical status are shown on myCIC - this is where you can see where your BG check is in the process
