ECAS Decision Made and NO PPR Express Entry Candidates Connect Here!!

Glad that most of the DM cases are getting PPR within few days. And then those few who get it in a week. Hang in there it'll find its way to you. Myself (75 days), ankur agarwal (55 days), rasber (>30 days and still counting) and esantos (~27 days) are the extreme cases. We are clueless here as to what's the process here and why it varies. They say, waiting in expectation is the only thing that makes you happy and sad at the same time. How true. Officially 87 days after my case was approved, today mycic changed to "application status: closed; BG check: complete; Documents: Provided; Final decision: Approved".

Most people get an email in their regular email accounts, then it shows up on MyCIC.

Your rep will be the one to get the mail then, and the one to tell you.

Big LOL!! you have been looking at the wrong spot! shift your attention to your phone (if he is always calling you) or to your email if this is how he is always communicating with you!

To give you an idea, MyCIC still showing in progress and under decision: not started while my ECAS shows decision made.... Probably both are not updated until they finalize issuing the COPR and they are not necessary linked to PPR request!

The norm has been you get an email from donotreply @ cic.gc.ca that will say:

"MyCIC E-mail Notification
This message is intended for the following e-mail address: <the email ID in their application file>
If this message does not concern you, discard it.
You have a new message(s) in your MyCIC account.
To view your message, log into MyCIC."

When you log into MyCIC, you will see a "Request Letter" available for download which is a PDF. It will have a communication addressed to you requesting passport/photos etc and instructions to send it. This is the same technique they use to request any additional docs from you so this is not unique to passport request (PPR).

Off late, some people have reported this passport request PDF sent directly to their registered email ID or even alternate email ID on file. It has happened to select few.

According to the calculator we might have to wait for like 2 weeks before we get PPR

For me, the wait since DM (August 26) is the most torturous! Welcome to our hand-trembling, teeth-chattering, shaking in our boots crowd! I also note that you, like many of us, got a ghost mail the day before DM. That might be something people who are In Process can look out for - a ghost mail, and then DM. And then we wait again.....
