Hi All.

Finally i got an email from WES advising me that my Canadian Equivalency is Bacherlor´s degree (fours years)

I not sure how many points will CIC give me rather 21 or 22, considering i sent two different types of studies to WES : 1) Industrial
Engineer,4 years and 2) Logistics Specialist, 1 year. Both studies appear on the CREDENTIAL ANALYSIS

This is the CIC criteria
Two or more Canadian post-secondary degrees or diplomas or equal(ECA) (at least one must be for a program of at least three years) 22 points

Canadian post-secondary degree or diploma for a program of three years or longer, or equal(ECA) 21 points

I hope someone can help me to figure this out, considering that i got my Ielts 6.5 and i will get 66-67 points in total, but depending on this inquiry,of course if the answer is 21 points i will need to take again the ielts to increase at least one of the bands and reach the 67 at least and get in the pool

Cheers

Fernando

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I'm in the same situation.

My ECA report says Canadian Equivalency Summary: Bachelor's Degree (four years) however it then goes on to list two of my credentials separately so I'm not sure whether they're saying both of them combined are effectively one four year Bachelor's Degree (which would be total BS) or if they are separate degrees and thus can claim the 128 points.

Do they appear separately with individual Canadian equivalents, or is the total summary evaluation of the two degrees a Bachelor's degree of four years?

In the latter case, you will only get 21 points. In the former case, you should get 22 points.

If it's not clear, just start an EE profile and see if you're eligible. If not, you'll know why.
It appears like this :

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY

Bachelor´s degree (four years)

CREDENTIAL ANALYSIS (i will write only the important)

1) Credential : Title of Engineer
Institution : Recognized
Canadian Equivalency : Bachelor´s degree (fours years)

2) Credential : Title of Specialist
Institution : Recognized
Canadian Equivalency : One year of graduate study

So as i understand, should a get 22 points?

I appreciate your response

you put in Bachelor's degree (four years) as your qualification.
According to that report you've done a years post grad study but not graduated, therefore no qualification equivalency.

--you might have graduated but its not considered equal to a canadian qualification.--

Purplesnow, so what does this means? and why they included it as a Canadian Equivalency if is not?
As far as i know, i believe my specialization would be equivalent to a Canadian Diploma of one year, which is a graduate study and is eligible for EE

2) Credential : Title of Specialist
Institution : Recognized
Canadian Equivalency : One year of graduate study

This is the part that counts:

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY

Bachelor´s degree (four years)
-------------------

They list out whatever you put in the application, and assess them separately.
But they will put their FINAL assessment at the top part, which is what I listed above.

theyve said its equal to a year of graduate study, not that its equal to a post grad diploma or anything.
the ECA tells you what your qualifications are equal to in Canada. you sent in two, so they're telling you what that second one is equal to.
to get points, it needs to be equal to a canadian qualification, (have diploma or degree written there) not just a period of study
