It is not at all important and doesn't impact timelines. People who ask for it probably have their files for some time in processing and out of curiosity. Timelines may differ depending on each visa office. Check cic website.One query -

Since my spouse is back home, she will have to submit her passport to the regional visa office (Singapore). Does she need to fill out Annex A with her name, information and sign or it should be same as mine? Would appreciate your feedback.
