WTF - Exactly 5 weeks not a single update on PP, no DM, no call from courier, no news, blog family seniors any suggestions please, is it really normal ??? 5 freak'n weeks ???

Hi guys,

Anyone encountered pr card "under verification"?

Essentially, what is that process?

We received only 3/4 cards last april25.

But my wife's card was not mailed.

Called cic today, they informed me its "under verification". Normally, how long does it takes to finish verification or atleast receive an update about the pr card application.

Anybody here using a consultant firm? Are they helpful? What is the chances if i will use consultant? Which consultant would you recommend here in Dubai? I'm trying to look for a consultant because i dont have enough time to apply by myself.

Whether you use a consultant or not, you will still have to devote enough time to get your papers in order, take the IELTS exam, get the PCC......... The consultant is not going to do these for you, be ause only you can do this. They will merely review your papers and mail them and charge you money. I would suggest you take look at the website and the requirements and wrap it up. It's not rocket science.

You chances of qualifying depend on your qualifications and fit withe requirements of you categor and not the use of a consultant.

Sir Qorex and Seniors,

I am Canadian based permanent immigrant. I sponsored my newborn under family sponsorship. On checking status, it came "Decision Made". It further read “WE SENT YOU A LETTER ON MARCH 28, 2014 ABOUT THE DECISION ON YOUR APPLICATION.

PLEASE CONSIDER DELAY IN MAIL DELIVERY BEFORE CONTACTING US”.

After expiry of more than a month I sent them the following and their reply came in two days...

Dear Sir,



On status check “Decision Made” I was informed the following:

“WE SENT YOU A LETTER ON MARCH 28, 2014 ABOUT THE DECISION ON YOUR APPLICATION.

PLEASE CONSIDER DELAY IN MAIL DELIVERY BEFORE CONTACTING US”

Please note that till this date no letter has been received by me. I am waiting desperately for the same so that my family could join me ASAP .

Don't worry. This is not a problem, if there was, the call center would have informed you.

If you are still worried, visit the office of your local MP and they will help you get more information.

What does "local MP" mean?

Did you encountered this scenario?if yes, how long did take you before you receive the card?yes. The cards came about 1 month after the others.

What does "local MP" mean? Member of Parliment. Like MNA. Just go to the office of whichever MP is elected in the area you live in. The staff is used to dealing with these issues every day, as CIC is the most problematic department for them.

Maybe, Ill wait for another 2 weeks before trying to call them again. It has been 2 weeks since we receive the other cards.

Well, the most difficult thing for us is....we are outside Canada at the moment. Hopefully, our physical presence will not be required to settle this issue.

There are no GOOD and Trust worthy consultants in Dubai or UAE . I was cheated by wrong information last year and lost lot of my money so this year i applied by myself after posting all my doubts in the forum . This forum will be very helpful for you to start the procedure .

Dont waste money through consultants they are cheaters and we have to put the same efforts and time similar to applying direct .

if DD for CIC then file Number and principal applicant name only, signature not required
