Hi Senior members,

Need your help.

I am eligible under the NOC 2174, but my IELTS (band 7.5) just got over 2yrs old on April 16th 2013. Can i still apply with these results as it is only a 19-day gap from the application start date of 4th May 2013. Will also be sending the University credentials for assessment today asap.

Also, it seems the IELTS testing is pretty much full here, next availability is on 16th May, with results coming in by 29th May at the earliest.

Your feedback is most appreciated.

Dear All

I'm very happy to announce that my husband, our two babies and me have got our Canada Visas. It was a long wait and so many things happened in between...there were some drastic changes in our personal lives. But anyway, now we have the visas.

We are planning to travel to Toronto in May. Is there anyone in this group who is planning to travel during the same time? We can talk and exchange notes, I hope.

What are the general advices for our landing trip. We will be going for just a week.

All suggestions are most welcome.

Thanks
Honeyflower

Hey Congrats...I had my first landing in February. Me and my wife stayed in Toronto for two weeks and then returned back to Dubai. We stayed at the URBAN LIVING SUITES in Downtown. The stay was comfortable and easily accessible to public transport. We opened an account with RBC, visited ACCES EMPLOYMENT and COSTI EMPLOYMENT services and roamed around the city during the two weeks with the help of TTC passes. However we got a clue about the job market and how competitive it is. Met couple of IT guys driving taxis and running groceries in Toronto, which was really depressing. So we have decided to conduct a detailed research before moving in permanently to Canada!!

Thanks rajeev for sharing your experience

combination of more than one method of payment is acceptable. However, payment by each method MUST be equal to a single or a multiple amount per person that you have indicated in Step 1 above.
For example: An amount of $550 paid by credit card for the principal applicant, and 2 x $150 paid by a certified cheque for 2 dependents for a total of $850 is acceptable. However, $500 paid by credit card and $350 by certified cheque will not be accepted.

Can ne1 explain me this???

Keep it simple and don't get confuse

One single payment by DD will do (attached summary of family members and amount against that)

Hello, I have a simple question. With the new NOC out, how many years of experience does a Civil Engineer need in order to apply for canadian immigration?

Dear friends...

I didnt get PPR yet...

I sent LVO inquiry last week
They replied that background check is outstanding and likely needs several month to finalize
Whats wrong with my status???

Also in GCMS it mentioned that
Case due to 23/4/2013 whats that mean???
