It's not after visa stamping... it's after u've "landed". The 'count' starts from the day u became a PR -- which is when u do ur "record of landing" at a Canadian port.
means 4 years will also count from date of landing ???? or it will count from date of visa stamp ??

That "date of visa stamp" has no meaning/value in ur Canadian foray. It'd be wise to stop referring to that hereon. Anything & everything 'starts' from ur 1st entry in Canada (aka 'landing').

It has to be done in Ontario-Canada... cannot be done overseas.

You mean I take the Arabic letter with me to Canada and translate it there at any authorized Drive Canada translators?

Hey All i got my CAIPS yesterday, while i was reading through, i could not understand most of the things, one thing i did understand that my new update will be required on 23-5-2013, just FYI that my case was in process last year on 23-4-2012, and as per the CAIPS they will be asking me for RPRF +Meds +updated Docs + POF....???

Seniors please tell me will the ask me all these things at the same time, as it was written in same line in the notes, also what does next status date means (23-5-2013) will they send me all updates before that date or after that date....

Please help help help.....

its a 41 page GCMS, and this is the first time ever i applied for that...GOD knows how to read that all....

Hi,

Ur pps will have to be submitted to ur 'original' CHC (the VO u selected while applying). From where -- that's immaterial. And if u r an Isb-Lon referral case -- u'd get PPR in 2 steps (PPR1 & PPR2) -- with PPR2 ur pps go to Isb. However, if u've updated ur current location as somewhere other than Pakistan -- u've an option to request for a 'direct PPR' as we all get -- and then submit ur pps once for all to CHC-London.

Is there direct flight from abu dhabi or even dubai to calgary,...tried ettihad airways but their website is not functioning, any idea plz share .....besides some flights have transit to other countries and the connection between flights is long like 6 hours during this time where shall we stay inside airport or airways will provide accomodation ,if such hiw about visa ,will that be required??

Thanks

there is no direct flight to Calgary. as per the airline rule if the transit is more than 8 hours and as per ur booking class(k,w,v etc even in economy) only they provide accommodation and food while in transit

Emirates gave me hotel stay and all meals plus visa in dubai whn i flyed from India to Toronto last month.

Dear Members,
I have been a silent observer of this forum for a year now. Just recently i received my visas and COPR and will be moving to GTA at the end of March hopefully. I was hoping to get some guidance on job prospects for IT project managers and/or business analysts. I have an Information Systems degree from the US and about ten years of experience. My last role was as a Solution Architect for reputable bank in the UAE.

I would really appreciate any guidance/leads I could get from the veterans here!

:) :)
