With the current PR process system ['fast track' -38 list], we do not* need a consultant at all. The process is quite simple, coupled with the great CIC website [& its manuals / guides] and such vibrant forums [giving real-time help], the application processing becomes a piece of cake.

*unless there is something wrong with our case.

hi all, i am in new in this forum applying from Dubai as well
i have shared my experience with Aries under the topic Aries international, i think its the same case?

in addition i fully agree with Qorax, if i have seen this forum last year i could have applied independently and actually could have been much faster, could have saved at least 60 days plus the money
the only reason i used Aries was that i travel a lot and needed someone to follow up the case and take care of paper work if i am not in Dubai...good luck and i am sure with the help of all the good people here you can save your money and time

Any of the 3 DMPs here should be Ok.

Thus, whether it is at Health Bay or DLC or Dr Azan, it shouldn't make an diff. I did with DLC.

From my timeline below do you think ordering CAIPS will be useful at this stage? do you think these gaps below are due to delay from consultant or this is normal?

I have applied late Jan last year my time line as follows

29 Jan 09 forms signed and payment made to consultant
02 April 09 Recieved in Nova Scotia (ecas)
21 April 09 letter from nova scotia (ecas)
23 May 09 letter from consultant for docs
15 July 09 docs submitted to consultant except ielts
19 Aug consultant requested signature of forms again
26 aug ielts and signed documents handed to consultant
3 Nov recieved by visa office (ecas)
25 Jan2010 "in process" started processing january 23rd (ecas)

Dear Qorax
I recieved my passport with visa and copr. All data on the copr document are ok except the Country Of Birth
it is written (United Arab Emi) but the correct is (Lebanon) as I filled in all Forms and even my Birth Certificate that I have sent them is a lebanese birth cert. and stating that Lebanon is the country of Birth.
Please Iam waiting for your advice in this issue.

I wrote an email explaning the situation and assuring CHC-lond to double check all the forms I filled and all documents I submitted (especially the Birth Certificate), these all show that my Country of Birth is Lebanon not UAE (even if iam a UAE resident).

I Hope u cud still shed some some light over here...

For my POF, I need almost P1M as we are 4 in the family.

Can i include my own vehicle to somehow compensate the total POF?
(If yes, do I need an officer to evaluate its actual cost?)

Or the vehicle prop is only honored in Manila embassy? But not in London (my VO)?

Would you happen to know where do you go to valuate jewellery to declare at customs.

You have to show the customs a valuation report, pics of the jewellery and receipts right?

I tried to look for someone but can't seem to find anyone.
