Guys let me know if this is a safe idea and recommended for DXB residents to have the DD as POF made from Sharaf or AL Ansari or UAE Exchange rather than from banks like ADIB and SCB.

Reason being for not taking DD from banks as they don't give better rates as compare to exchanges.

I know there is another option to open the SCOTIA bank account right from DXB, but do not want to do that as other banks gives a lot of more features than Scotia bank, so will open the bank account once I reach there.

i opend scotia bank, this is fine. and if u opend account with scotia, u can open and close any time any account.

By the way was there any difference or better exchange rate going with Scotia bank on that particular days rate compare to other banks rate like SCB and ADIB.

Exchange rate variations are usually in the last third or fourth digit. Unless you are changing a million dollars you won't lose or gain much.

Hello Members

1 out of 3 of my past employers is unable to provide me with the letter of roles and responsibilities. The Employer however has provided me with a letter highlighting my tenure, designations held, full time work and the duration of each designation. But the letter does not contain roles and responsibilities because as per HR 'it is not a standard data that HR can provide'.

Moving on - I do not have any Team members or my superior working in the organization anymore. Its been close to 5 years since I have parted from the Company.

So it comes down to 'Sworn Affidavit'.

I am currently based in Dubai. I have found out that I have to go to IVS in Dubai for getting Affidavits or Attestations done.

My question is -

1. What documents will be required to get this done ?
2. What is the procedure involved (such as signatures) since I am the only party involved here ?
3. How long does this take ?
4. Has anybody gone through this procedure via IVS in the past ?

i have the same case when I requested for a detailed employment certificate from my employer...HR does not usually produce this required doc by CIC....the trick is you prepare the draft of the Employment Certificate, with all the required details by CIC....discuss it with your employer and/or HR....then let them sign it....that's what I did....

If you haven't attended for CIIP session, I would suggest you to go for that.

You will learn handful of information from Canadian style resume to knowing how to find jobs, retain the jobs, importance of soft skills.

The world there is not like our home countries or UAE working culture every thing is so different.

There to get jobs you need 80% Soft skills and 20% technical knowledge.

Attend this session will let you know the bridging programs which college is running and further you will have your own pre arrival counselors which will guide you all this info.

Since you have already landed so you have enough time before you get into there permanently.

yes, there is diffrnce of transfer and dd but not a big diffrence

URGENT!

I have just verified that my first name in my birth certificate is NISHES but my first name in all my other documents starting high school is NISHESH.

I have not filed my application yet.

What is the next course of action ?

A million dollar advise which every one is not aware of and have seen a lot of applications gets refused because of this.

At this stage left with only one option, use your class 10th CBSE or which ever board you have studied from.

As you might be aware in India also if you do not have Birth Certificate class 10th certificate is being used as DOB.

Attach one explanation letter also stating I do not have B/C instead using my class 10th certificate as DOB.

Ny how, at this moment you don't have any single option in hand.

To have the name corrected in BC you don't need to be in person in India ask any one of your family member there to initiate the process for your from your local state Municipality.

Trust me CIC will not entertain any explanation or anything if you fail to produce any of these as DOB (B/C, Class 10th Certificate).

Hello Senior members - I have an Urgent issue I need someone to help me with:

My First name in my Class 10 and Birth Certificate is NISHES

My First name in ALL OTHER Documents including PP is NISHESH

My birth certificate is in English and this is the ONLY mismatch in the documents.

I am currently based in the UAE alongwith all my family members. I am citizen of India by birth.

Can someone please advise what can I do as a short term fix ?

These affidavits are not valid for CIC unless they are backed up by class 10th Certificate. The only options you I have are listed above. Choice is yourz.

FYI same option is listed on Indian PP website too, google it you will get it.
