Another quick question i have the followin residency(days) and it does qualify for physical presesce but does this qualify for my -Income Tax filing obligation, since i filed income tax for 2012,13,14,15 where as 2012 doesn't count under 183 days obligation a year, Please let me know the expert thoughts.thecoolguysam said:Yes, you can apply together.
If you filed your taxes for 2012 then that is what you mark on your application. the requirement to file is not tied to the 183 days on the application.Nitin38 said:Another quick question i have the followin residency(days) and it does qualify for physical presesce but does this qualify for my -Income Tax filing obligation, since i filed income tax for 2012,13,14,15 where as 2012 doesn't count under 183 days obligation a year, Please let me know the expert thoughts.

Also, my son is 4 years old and he just started the school a month back, should i get a Attendance sheet from his teacher for the month? or is it fine he doesn't need to show anything for residency requirement.Rigly68 said:All the best for your application and good luck!
You don't need the attendance sheet, just the name and school that he is attending.Nitin38 said:Also, my son is 4 years old and he just started the school a month back, should i get a Attendance sheet from his teacher for the month? or is it fine he doesn't need to show anything for residency requirement.
Hard to say but as for the taxes, yes you have to file taxes in both countries.ttrajan said:Most of the dual stays in USA or Canada? We need to file tax in both countries?
not true, US citizen needs to file for US tax no matter where he lives, Canadian citizen living outside Canada only needs to pay if he has economic/family ties in Canada, otherwise he can apply for non-tax statustinam said:Hard to say but as for the taxes, yes you have to file taxes in both countries.
