hi im new to toronto. does any one have any idea on drug plans. how it work. i try to google it but didint find anything helpful.

Can you explain what you mean by "drug plan"? Are you asking about paying for an extra insurance policy that will cover the costs of your prescription medication?

Yes, thanks for replying

You should look into one of the flexible insurance plans provided by companies such as Manulife. This will allow you to select the type of coverage you're looking for.

You can ask to your pharmacy for application pkgs for The trillium drug program(TDP) or visit

Most employers have a group plan. When you apply for jobs, ask about their benefits package in regards to supplementary insurance. IMO it would not be worth joining a plan now unless you have high medical costs because when you get a job, you will most likely be joining a plan of your employers anyway.
