Hello,

After receiving ITA, I am answering the questionnaire and have some doubts.

In PERSONAL DETAILS, about FAMILY: should I put all the members of my family, or just the ones who are not included in the application.

For example: My application includes me, my husband and my two sons, in my part I've put my father, my mother and my brothers, should I include my spouse and my sons? As well, in my husband's part, besides his parents and siblings, should I put myself and our sons?

"Please tell us about XXXXXXX's immediate family members that have not been identified in the application."

I guess this means you have to give details of family member who are not already included in your application.

It was what I understood, but I have heard people giving details about the family members who are already included in the application... I would like to know the experience from people who got PR

I am still in the EE process, but I think I know the answer to your question. the newly elected government was elected (in part) on a platform of 'family re-unification'. In the event that you get PR, I think they want to know the details such that if your family members come and try to apply for PR, they will give them points based on you having PR, and your family being 're-unified'.

I think the other reason is also one of 'security' for Canada. This forms a basis by which they can then do a background check with various security organizations around the world regarding criminal history and the like. Any other reason in asking for family details for family members not travelling to Canada does not make sense.

Happy to be corrected by other forum members if I am wrong.

Hi JoacRy,
I understand that I need to put my relatives that are not included in the application. My doubt is if I should repeat my relatives that ARE included in the application (husband and sons)

You don't need to repeat that information in this section. That has already been covered elsewhere in your application.

More doubts...

Should I upload just the pages of my passport with photo and personal information or all pages with stamps?

For POF, should I upload just the letters from the banks or should I include the bank statements from the last 6 months?

Hi

Family details asks to identify relatives not accompanying you to Canada. My understanding is that i need to mention parents and brother sister in the same. do i need to mention my ex spouse. The drop down button shows spouse only. What to do?

Include all the pages where there is any kind of stamping done along with front and last page. To be on a safer side include all the pages from passport.
If the bank letter show when your account was opened and other information you need to upload that as well. You should include bank statements from last 6 months.

Asivad has already answered this in another post from you... Your ex-spouse is not considered as your immediate family.
