thankyou Ponga.
i was reading some of the questions and one said can i show photos of our wedding etc. ive submitted many of these with my application.
Should a take more with me?
i note that i cannot take my phone or backpack into he interview. so i cannot show photos on there.....
do they allow you to check you phone in at the reception?
We went through an interview as well and we brought an additional 250 pages of proof - we divided it into files (trips taken together including tickets and boarding passes, proof of the fact we live together even though our application was outland - so it depends, copies of bank statements, and a separate file with another 20 or so pics from our wedding, and day to day stuff).
Your phone and backpack are not allowed into the embassy. Just print ones that are in addition to the ones you submitted, and not all extra wedding pics. They want to see pictures of you together still after the application submission. The usual red flag is they want proof of the relationship being real, so for example I submitted pics of my husband cooking dinner, pics of us together in different locations. Just submit whatever you have as continuing proof from AFTER your file was submitted.
They let you submit paperwork at the gate when you check in. This then is given to the immigration officer and he will sit and read every single piece of it - one of the more important points is make sure that it matches what you said in your application, because when my husband was in front of him, the original file was there with sticky notes on parts that were likely the red flags, and he had gone through every piece in the new file - because when we got it back, it was in a different order.
Hope that helps....
