If you sent original documents when they asked for copies, you may not get them back but if they asked for mandatory originals, such as marriage or birth certificates, they should be returned.Bex said:Hi everyone,
Just wanted to know if you get all the documents submitted returned after you get your COPR papers.
We've sent the embassy original documents that would be such a pain to get again...
Thanks

Buenos Aires. Seems they do their own stuff at this office!hhafiz said:Which one is your VO?
If there's a specific document you want back, I'd let them know via a case specific enquiry asap. While some officers in some VO do send select documents back, you can't really count on it.Bex said:Buenos Aires. Seems they do their own stuff at this office!
I'm more worried about an original police record that we had to get dug up from 1997! Took ages!
Agreed. I think you can count on getting the birth certificate and marriage certificate back. I wouldn't count on the police certificates unless you specifically ask.OhCanadiana said:If there's a specific document you want back, I'd let them know via a case specific enquiry asap.
