Hi All,

I need recommendations on open work permit to be obtained from divorcee spouse whom not able to sponsor PR.

I am going to marry a divorced girl whom she get sponsored by her ex- husband and she don't have eligibility to sponsor me a PR until few years. I want to marry this girl and looking forward a brighter chances to get a open work permit to live work for any company in Canada.

Please advise me if am eligible to obtain a open-work permit until she gets her eligibility to sponsor me a PR.

Thanks,

If you aren’t married or haven’t lived together there is no means for her to sponsor you for anything. You would need to apply and qualify for an OWP on your own.

I will be getting married on this February and how things would be later Feb?

It won't. You don't qualify for an open work permit until she can sponsor you for PR. The only way you can qualify for an OWP is once she is able to sponsor you. She must then submit the inland sponsorship application along with an OWP. The OWP will be approved approximately four months after the inland sponsorship application is received. Note that both you and she must be physically in Canada in order for her to sponsor you inland.
