Hello everyone my wife is joining for a 2 year course in canada for may intake and we are going to apply for student visa for her and i want to know whether i can also apply for my visa with her . But i see many forums and few of known people suggesting not to apply together i am confused.

What can i do now ? I also want to join with my wife to canada. i am hearing about visitor visa and after reaching we can transfer it into work permit.

We are married like 1 year and we have no kids we are 2 of us. Kindly help me in this regards in what way i can apply for a visa to go with my wife together to canada

May i know how long it takes for the process to complete ? How can i apply for that shall i wait until my wife gets her visa stamped or can i apply together with my wife ?

Yes you can apply it with application of study permit for your wife
But you will only get OWP after your wife's study permit has been accepted
for timings,
it is nearly 9-10 weeks for OWP and 5-6 weeks for Study Permit now. But it is changig. U can chek the latest here.

I am in similar situation as outlined above. I have received offer letter for 2 years master's course with stipend. The amount is quite good I would say. Now I am planning to apply for study permit for me and work permit for my wife, both online. I went through online application of my account. I asks all detailed information about me including whether wife will accompany to Canada. But the application covers only for the study permit and it does not have no space for uploading passport and other details for my wife. How do I proceed for this? Am i missing things on the application? Do I create different account for my wife's work permit? Please help me in this.

you have to make seperate application for your wife to obtain Open Work Permit for her.

My wife has applied for the student visa in spp program for may in take and we have submitted all the documents on Mar 15th in vfs chennai and still it shows it is under process and there is no additional update from it. Classes starts from may 8th i am worried.. When can i expect for a update ? Can someone help me out in this
