Is medicals needed for dependent child ? My children age are less than 2 years ? And was this on new portal or a paper application ?

Its a Paper Application applied inside Canada , Yes Medicals Needed ( They will check the height, eye, Weight , ),
.( My child also less than 1 year old ).
Thanks .

I am confused with your questions.

Since your wife hasn't landed/got COPR, her application hasn't completed. You need to add your child (assuming not born in Canada) to her application as dependent. Your child needs to get medical and background check (not much of background for a baby) and once that's all done, your wife and your child's passport will be stamped. Do not submit your wife's passport for stamping until adding your child and having baby to go through the process.

Your child is NOT the primary applicant. Your wife is, the baby is the newly added dependent.

What if your wife got COPR and got her passport stamped but not landed in canada and gave birth to a child after getting COPR. She was dependent in my application. Meanwhile I principal applicant, was in Canada and our application is closed. How can we add our child to that application..??

I believe your wife's COPR lists dependents so you will need to inform IRCC as your wife's current COPR is incomplete. To confirm you landed in Canada before the child was born?

This is an unusual situation (although probably not the first time) and you'll have to contact IRCC or the visa office to see what to do. (You could also try through your MP's office). Hopefully they'll find a way to settle this up for you that minimizes the delay, although your kid will have to get medical etc.

Main thing is: she should NOT enter Canada on the COPR until confirmed in writing by IRCC that she should. (That would potentially be an undeclared change in family composition and potentially get messy).

But: to reassure (I hope), the worst case scenario (IMO) is that your wife doesn't land during duration of her COPR or on this COPR and you sponsor her and the child together. This doesn't exclude her/both of them from getting TRVs, i.e. it doesn't necessarily mean you'll be physically apart during a new process. I'm not saying that this is what will happen, but that the 'worst case' is not so very bad.
