Does the child sponsorship require a DNA test? I wanted to provide the personal DNA reports upfront; though IRCC usually send the document to get done DNA test. But my lawyer said, IRCC might have no need of DNA test for you.

These days the UCI is generated automatically. They have not yet checked your documents.
When they do and see everything is complete, they acknowledge receipt (or return if something is missing). That takes time.

I have very similar timeline and received pre arrival on April 13th and seen decision made on ecas yesterday. GCKEY does not have a decision made update and says background check, etc is still in progress. Fingers crossed we here soon about PPR

There is no way to expedite the process, MP won’t be able to help you get your application processed faster. If your application is taking much longer than average then an MP can be helpful in trying to determine the issue. At the moment MPs are being told not to contact IRCC for general review only for cases related to Afghanistan, Ukraine or major outliers.
