She showed around 10000 cad in her account and in the letter we had mentioned that, primary applicant, my father in law is also supporting the expense for the trip for all 3, which he had around 50k cad

Not usually based on luck. She did provide her own savings statement. They may have all had previous international travel history and the parents provided proof of quite a lot of savings N top of the sister’s savings.

There isn’t an exact amount. The fact that you don’t have a very strong profile with minimal ties (except a job), no previous travel, assume not a large amount of savings, etc. and the fact that your parents have also not travelled before and returned home all add up. All you can do is provide statements from your current savings account. If you think of any ties that prove that you need to return home you can also add that to your application.

My parents have previously traveled only not to Canada. Also, their application has been accepted. It is only my application that's not been. Does it help if I show that I pay monthly rent to my landlord?

Yes showing that you have an ongoing lease will add more ties.

Hi, sorry to jump in between. Can you share when you applied for the visa and did you apply on the old or the new portal? I applied for my parents in Oct, 2021 and haven't heard anything since. Thank you.

Invitation letter makes or breaks the case. Make sure you have a strong invitation letter and funds you have in your bank account should suffice. Biggest thing about showing ties back home is usually parents/ taking care of siblings/ house. Feel free to reach out if you need more guidance.. good luck!
