So they're not sending out email updates when they update something on your account?

Nope, we just have to send photocopies, 2 current photos, an Annex form, and a prepaid envelope. They specifically say not to send the actual passport if you are a U.S. Citizen. I used Fedex- it was pretty easy once I explained what I needed.

Interesting. Everything I've read says US Citizens do not have to send anything because we're Visa exempt. They just send the COPR since we submit the copy of the passport, pics, etc at time of applying.

I guess u have to process the import of car before that.

U got to do some research on that, some fees/taxes.

Or u r talking about one way rental?

I personally don't know what to do with my cars if i get PPR

There are 3 of us will be moving to Canada (Wife, Me and 5 year old)
i have 2010 venza bought for cash couple years back
and i have 09 acura tl that i owe 8K

Possible scenarios:

1: Sell both cars, rent SUV, hook up U haul trailer and drive to Canada (buy new car in Canada)
2: Sell Acura, import Venza, tow U Haul trailer with Venza
3: Sell both cars, rent U haul 10 foot truck and just drive to Canada(not sure about car seat for my daughter there)

I honestly want to have new car, but not willing to drop extra cash for it when i get to Canada, plus i will not have any credit history there, so there are slim chance of getting a car loan even if i do huge downpayment.

Any input on this ? Aren't we all in the same boat kind of ?? :)))
