December Application OINP

Hi everyone,

I've been an avid follower of this forum and have gone through pretty much all the emotions that everyone else has been going through during their agonising wait. I finally got nominated on the 7th and got called out in the subsequent ITA on 12th. Below is my timeline for your reference. I really hope all of you get nominated in good time.

OINP PT Notification: 23rd October 2015
OINP App Received: 08th December 2015
OINP AOR: 27th April 2016
Request for additional docs: 30th September 2016
OINP Nomination: 7th October 2016
ITA: 12th October 2016

Guys, my IELTS is expiring on 17th October 2016. Hence, I updated the new IELTS score in my EE Profile and the new CRS score is >400. Do I need to intimate OINP on this?

My Timeline:
Application Received: 29th Dec 2015
AOR: 23rd June 2016

So far neither call nor additional document request via email has been received. I am a CEC Outland Candidate.

Did the operator explicitly told you that the decision has been made and nomination issued? In my case, he was just mentioned that I should be receiving news from them in two weeks. When I asked him if the nomination was issued he was reluctant to give a straight answer.

He said that my result is positive and i should get it in 2 weeks (the result) I asked him if I will be getting in MYCIC account too he said YES . Dont know how will I get it. I just hope it's soooooooooon.

Yes, better to intimate OINP right away .

Email them with a scan of your new TRF report as well as send them a screenshot from your EE profile showing them that you have updated it there as well.

I thought that nomination comes online first, followed by the hardcopy sent by mail. But recently, I have seen 2-3 members saying that when contacting the OINP they were told that decision on their files have been taken (while no update in EE profile) and they should be receiving the nomination by regular mail. So I assumed is there any procedural change has happened with OINP.

that's not how it works. actually, the paper copy is just a proof of nomination.
what the operator meant was that the applicant will receive the nomination and the paper copy.
once a nomination is received, we get it in our CIC account and then have to accept it online itself.

yes I read that too but honestly I don't give much importance to somebody saying until things happen.
Sometimes the operators aren't that well aware that the "decision via mail" is actually a nomination certificate and that they're referring to the same thing.
They aren't supposed to commit anything to any applicant, just supposed to convey the usual procedure, the status as they see in the system and general answers.
So I'd wait for the nomination mail / and in CIC account and then maybe after some days receive the courier

Ronix we have a similar timeline i am 30th Dec applicant and got the ECA on 12th October, sent it on the same day..I am now wondering are they gonna send add doq. request later or is it gonna be referred to decision phase. Some people here got ECA first then Add. Documents request like updated POF and payslips, however, other were not asked for any other docuemnts after the ECA and even weren't notified of a decision phase mail and got nomination mail directly after..Lets watch for next week and see what happens, maybe we are being processed by the same team and that is the way they do things.

I don't get it. What is this new system? I think they are sending out the nomination certificate and then sending or the nomination on myCIC profile.

Even I was confused when he said the same.
Still I am waiting for any further updates and will update once I receive one.
