Thank you for your response. Should the letter of explanation be notarized? Have you known other people who got the approval of their citizenship even if they have an expired passport?
No need for notarization, complete waste of time and money in this case.

I've seen other cases here of epxired passports getting completed. Don't recall that there were any issues.

That is a lousy response on their part. I guess you have a lazy officer. I'm sorry.
Whether it’s due to delays or inefficiency, this is just how it is right now. I plan to call them again next week to see if there’s any progress or if anything can be done. It’s frustrating and honestly a bit crazy that I still don’t have any updates no confirmation, no rejection, nothing. It feels like I’m stuck in limbo with no information at all.
