Hello all,
Joining this forum today with a 31 Dec 2024 AoR.

My current status is that I took & passed the test on 13 Feb 2025, which is also the day I got a fingerprint request. I went and had the fingerprints done the same day.

Sadly, so far my test results have not yet been updated on the IRCC tracker, and it still says "waiting on you" to take the Citizenship Test. I'm hoping it'll update soon.

Full timeline in signature.
I thought they dont ask for fingerprints - I see that a couple of you mentioned about the fingerprints - have they changed something? or its due to common last name?

when we can follow up the update of our test, if its already passed the window dates, when i googled,

I’ve completed the online test, but my application status is outdated. What should I do?
This is because we still need time to further review and officially confirm
  • your answers
  • your test result
  • the photos our system took through your webcam
Once we complete the review, we’ll update your application status.
You don’t have to contact us or do anything further. If you contact us, we won’t update your application status sooner.

Please search this forum for responses on this question but yes, they absolutely ask for fingerprints as part of the citizenship application. Not everyone gets them.

Hello everyone, hopefully someone can answer- i gave FP to rcmp today but the official said they will send to Ottawa RCMP who then will email me the results directly and then i have to mail to IRCC. i thought they were supposed to send to IRCC directly but the officer said no i need to mail IRCC . Has anyone else gone through the same?

If you go to a police station, they may send the results to you, and you'll need to forward them to IRCC yourself. However, if you use an agency, they will send your fingerprints directly to the RCMP and then to IRCC, so you won’t have to handle anything yourself. I heard this from previous applicants and I decided to go with the agency.

ooh okay i didn't know so i went to RCMP office. I hope it won't take too long to receive the results. Otherwise i might have to give again to an agency.

No worries, just make sure once u receive it send to the correct IRCC address( the last page of the letter. I guess is Vancouver for everyone) immediately to aviod any delay.

I passed my test in 2nd attempt but still havent updated yet gave test on 10feb calgary office
You could go for ATIP notes. You'd get more info on what happened but their response time is 30 days. What requesting it would do is probably let your officer know that you requested notes and your officer would update everything in your file before the notes are sent out?

The staff from the agency told me usually 3 business days(with no criminal record ). If there is a possible match to a criminal record would up to 120 days.

Hey guys I’m applying for the Citizenship. I haven’t file the tax return for 2024. So in the tax return section what should be the answer for this question "were you required to file taxes for 2024”? Please if someone can help me here.
Thanks
