Mine is also assigned to rc-8090
RC-8090 is essentially the office code for IRCC HQ. They're the first to look at your app and then decide if it's complete and send you your AOR. They also process all if not most of all out of country applications in collaboration with the different international imm./visa offices (which also are RC****). So during if you see that it typically means an office domestic or int'l has sent/requested something from them. What you may be referring to is the batch/officer code assigned to your app, at the local level, which is different, typically has initials like XX****, YY****.

Quick question guys, I don't have last name on my original passport and everything goes in the given name. What should I write for citizenship certificate as the first and last name?
greatly appreciate any help.
your actual given name, and your family/surname as the last name.

I actually checked with support and they said my secondary office is sydney. Also I have heard that application goes to sydney for security clearance. Possibly they are the ones delaying the file. I read on cbc website that 60000 applications were assigned to inactive employees. This could also be the reason for delay

Hi Everyone!
I was wondering if anyone knows if I am allowed to travel while waiting for the citizenship ceremony? Everything else is completed other than the ceremony. My PR card is valid. I am just worried that if while I am traveling, they invite me for the ceremony, Am i able to push the oath ceremony due to not being in the country? Would that be a reason for them to decline my citizenship overall? And if I push the ceremony, would anyone know if one has to wait another year to get it ?

Thanks :)
