I am in a similar situation. Online application submitted on Dec 14th 2022, Aor 5th Jan 2023 , Background complete 14th Feb 2023, Ghost Update - March 2nd 2023 and then complete silence.

I am on same timeline as yours. submitted Dec 15th, AOR jan5th, background completed Feb 27th, Ghost update Mar 2nd. No test invite yet.

No it doesn't. Many people have done it and test completed without any issue.

Oh dear god ... I had this issue for 4 months. IRCC really couldn't do a lot. A random thing worked for me. I just tried doing it from my iPhone's safari browser and I received my email. Not sure if it was a timing thing or if there was really any value to it. All I can say is keep trying ..

No it doesn't. Many people have done it and test completed without any issue.

I don't think so? I had some executable refresher clients running in the background with occasional popups in the main testing window. I didn't have any issues.

Based on my personal experience, it took 19 days for me to receive an update after submitting my fingerprints. However, considering the ongoing PSAC strike, it is doubtful that you will receive any updates until the strike comes to an end. I sincerely hope that the negotiations between the parties involved are successful and that the strike ends as soon as possible.

Its been 2 months and I still haven't received a test invitation. Is this normal?

Unlikely that the strike will continue. However, who knows? If not, you can still try the testing website with your UCI and Profile/user ID number. You have all the info to log in and try in between the citizenship test window. If you log in during the testing window, it lets you in, then go ahead and do your test. If not, then wait for the letter. They will likely reschedule if it never comes during the testing window. Good luck, and no worries. It should be fine. The strike disrupts a lot of things. Hopefully, they have a mechanism to deal with these issues once they return to work.

I was going to fly in for my citizenship test but I have fallen ill, the letter says reply within 48 hours if you want to do it outside Canada, it’s way past 48 hours but I can’t get on a flight and make people sick. Is it okay to tell IRCC that I will do it outside Canada after like 2 weeks of the letter?
