December 2022 - Citizenship Applicants

Hi guys,

I am one of the unfortunate ones - my application got sent to the Niagara Falls office (even though I live in Guelph).

My background check was completed on Feb 22, 2023 but I still haven't received the test invite yet. And I see that a lot of people have finished the test a long time ago and are getting oath invitations.

This is seriously disheartening, but I am trying to be positive. Any advice on how I can nudge them to speed up my application?

Timeline:
App Sent and received - Dec 28, 2022
AOR: Jan 13, 2023
BG Complete: Feb 22, 2023

NOTHING after that.

that is so unfortunate! can't think of anything that you can do other than to wait I guess.
on a side note try sending a GCMS note, maybe it will move your application! Who knows!?

You can contact the RCMP by sending an email to 'ccrtis-scictr@rcmp-grc.gc.ca' or by submitting a webform. In my case, it took 20 days for my background check to appear completed on the tracker after I submitted my fingerprint. I also contacted the RCMP and submitted a webform

What details do you provide to RCMP when you email them?

In a similar boat as @Xxsaraxx where my test invite came through without Background being completed. Now the test is marked complete but Background is still in progress. Wifey on the other hand had her background and test marked complete.

I sent an email that included a scan of the "Consent to release information to a third party" form, which was provided to me by the fingerprinting company where my fingerprints were taken. In addition, I provided the following information:

• Name
• Date of Birth
• Fingerprint DCN No

hard to say. It is from few weeks to few months I have seen in this forum. I am waiting since 10th March for LPP. I hope you get it soon !
