good day, I have submitted our application last December 2020 however, I didnt notice that the IMM 5532 form was updated on October 2020, I submitted ours using the old version (02-2019), will that cause our application to be returned? I don't have any AOR yet, I am so worried.

where did you see its been updated, i checked the one on the canada.ca and its from 02-2019

Helllo, I mailed my application to Sydney, NS and they received it on the 21st of December. Still waiting on the AOR, could be waiting a long time. Good luck everyone

You have to clear your cookies sometimes for it to show up. I did get the 2020 one, there 3 forms updated in 2020 one of which was the representative form. We had to resign everything, so frustrating. I've mentioned before they should have a page that tells when forms are updated.

Crap. I sent the old version too. Worst of all, i did check all the versions before i sent out and it matched just because i did not clear history and cookies.

I have heard both ways, but I will advise you not to panic. Surely, the government will provide some leeway in the date of the forms if you recently sent. It's not like they were updated a year ago and then you used the wrong form. Let's not panic, I have some concerns with my application too, but there is nothing we can do now but wait and hope they are not returned. Worrying about it will not change the outcome and this is already a stressful process. I am hoping the best for you. <3

Yes, it’s AOR

Is' yours a simple application of just spouse sponsership? Do you have any dependant's, kids? Or is it a more complex application?

And did they email you or send you a mail with your AOR?

When you called, they will ask some information from you. And from there they will track your application and will give the temporary file number.
