This is insane. March applicants are getting PPRs, while we don't have file transfers yet. What a joke !
Can we all please email minister of immigration about this discriminating treatment?

ya if you are a refugee, you and your 12 family members get free hotel and food stamps; if you cross illegally, same deal. #WelcomeToCanada If the PA is from Justin's liberals' favorite nations you get here in 3-6 months. If your PA is from Central America, nor are you swimming in pools of money, good luck to your sorry a#$. I have emailed immigration minister already. I just went to live with PA in paradise until application is finished. Canada is too cold anyway. bah humbug ;)

My file is transferred to Mexico City cause they sent me AOR2. But I seriously don't understand how my application going be done in 12 or even 13months. I'm September 2018. They received my application on September 6, 2018. My wife is Venezulan, so comparing stories/experiences of other Venezulans on here and their government slowing every thing down.

heeey all, just wanna update.

timeline....

Application Sent: December 17, 2018
Application Received: December 19, 2018
AOR 1: February 12, 2019
Medical Request: February 19, 2019 (husband had to do sputum test for 3 days the culture it for 2 months. Received medical passed on gckey June 14, 2019.)
PPR: June 16, 2019 (passport sent June 18. Then on gckey today, June 20, application completed. Visa expires June 3, 2020.)

Anytime now, he will be travelling to Canada. so happy finally, we will be reunited.

Question about time frames. We received a letter asking for passport (or in my wife's case a copy of her passport), two pictures, and the completion of her address and contact information. We sent those out almost two weeks ago via Express Post as was asked on the form. We have yet to hear anything and the GCKey still says her application is in process. Does anyone know what the next step is and what the timeline usually is for that?

Hey Everyone!

Looks like my husband needs to go in for an interview. (I genuinely don't understand how they decide on this, as everything was pretty straightforward, but it is what it is)

That being said, for anyone that has already gone through this, any tips/advice/things to know?

Thanks!

I tried applying for GCKey, but it kept saying it couldn't find my application. Any idea or why it can't find it? I can find it on the cic application status login

While linking your paper application to online account GC key, use same information as entered in the application forms sent.
Also number of persons included in application: Sponsor (1) + primary applicant (1) + dependent child (n) if any

I was having same issue while linking the application, it said no application found. It was just the number of persons included in application. I was entering only 2, In my case it is 3

Yup, my primary applicant is (1). Using correct application number. my wife finished her medical examination in January 2019. Since then we don't even know if its passed yet. The doctor said she passed, but I like to see it in writing. I know the applicaiton is in Mexico cause I called CIC and they told me they can't open file cause its in process in mexico. So is the reason why I can't link the account cause I'm still in AOR2 phase?

well the number tries has exceeded for today *SMH*. So dumb the way this works. Why have two different logins to check status of applicaiton

Are you going to be attending the interview as well?

When I was having issues I was told it was because the application was now transferred and that I needed to link it to an account in the PA’s name. That ended up working for me.

I have submitted my spouse application on December 17,2018. All went well got approved and all back in April 4,2019. He sent passport and gckey updated with msg counterfoil and valid travel document until 2020 February but yesterday I got another msg in gckey as COPR with same travel document and expiry .
