Finally got our AOR today. Phew. It took so long that I started getting nervous that they'll return our application again haha

I'm from January 2016. One question - is the AoR sent as a letter or an email or both? My husband is Canadian but he is working overseas... he is waiting for the AoR for us before he can quit as we don't wanna miss the letter and screw up everything.

I have seen that. In my case it was an email. (there was probably a letter too but we were both away).

In that email, there was a generic template saying they didn't process our app because of missing document(s). Then thete was the file name of the missing document.

We only had 1. And we had limited time to submit it... dun remember the time... I did it immediately.

I saw that when i checked my status that a latter has been sent it almost a week .It should have been easier for me if the email me the letter

I got my SA on email on 15feb m a 11dec applicant my wife is in new delhi and it says file in transit now. Can anyone guide me what happens after this and how many days it will take in new delhi visa approval and stamping. Is any applicant from new delhi side.

I think you'll get a better idea of your time line if you just look at the dates for your visa office. Every VO has different turnaround times so it doesn't help much to compare to other offices. You sent to Ottawa, and I saw 2 other Ottawa applicants on the spread sheet. They got their AORs at 53 and 56 days. You're at day 52, so it you'll probably receive yours really soon.

Hi. Im in day 72 since application submitted and 14 days since AOR yet still no SA
Im starting to worry. Im retired. There is no income requirement yet proof of how to support is needed I provided a statement of net worth. (More than enough) To complicate things we are moving next week to Victoria. I was going to send the change of address after we move but now worried they will mail something rather than email. All other communications have been by email. I will forward our mail from USPS to Canada. I call CICS each Friday. One has to push a bit to get them to investigate. Last time I called they said to give it a month from AOR.

You're worrying too soon. For you, it's only been 57 days. The average is more than 65 days before AOR. Many people receive theirs later than that.

In addition, your application was received only a couple of days before Christmas. I expect that application processing slows down for about a week-and-a-half around Christmas.

Hi there,

If you had provided an email address on the application, then an email will be sent.
If not, then they will mail out a letter.
Hope this helps.
