Congrats! They are moving fast all of a sudden!

So random question here. I received passport request last week. I sent it the photos extra last week and I did it via registered post. It's showing that it was received and I expect that I will receive COPR in the mail sometime in the next week. However on Thursday I get on a flight to Scotland and I'm gone for two weeks. Pretty sure my letter will show up when I'm gone. Has anyone experienced trying to come back into Canada without the letter? I have legal status until July, so I'm not overly concerned if they don't issue the visa for me, but Im wondering what will happen.

I didn't receive AOR2 since SA, how can I check the applicant status?

I didn't get mine either until I emailed the VO and asked if they received the medical since that hadn't shown on eCas either. They responded and said yes they have medical, AOR2 was Mar 17, but none of this was on eCas. So, if I didn't email them, I wouldn't have known at all.

Just an update:

They have requested new photos (through our consultant) and I believe a copy of his passport (just confirming with the consultant, as they said "other requests" but said they would handle it from their end.

We received the request for photos at 5:00pm last night, which is a bit tardy on the consultants behalf, but thats ok. We can do them today and mail them off.

I am assuming the photos and passport stuff mean we have a positive result on the DM status. So happy days!

Thanks all

Hi Kettle/All,

We also recently received a similar letter request for 2x photos and also for an updated photocopy of my husbands passport. (Australia)

We were about to send off both after his DM was obtained, when we received a call from CIC inviting us to an interview here in St John's to formalize the COPR, rather then send to Ottawa as per the received letter.

I will update as the meeting is scheduled for Friday, but thought we would share this as its a welcomed step by CIC to finalize our application..

All the best to all..
