Hi Everyone,

We are very happy to report that when we logged onto ECAS today we read that we have received 'decision made' for both applications!

Although we haven't received formal notification.. we hope its all good/positive news for us!

I'm interested in others experience and also for an overview of the next steps from now?

Thanks again to all for sharing your experiences. This forum has been a wonderful source of information and I would really appreciate if my details would be updated on the spreadsheet..

I have updated the spreadsheet for you.

Thanks again!

Hi there,

Just looking for some feedback to ease my husband's (sponsored by me for Canadian PR) mind.

He is hesitant to change his phone number and mailing address in the States since we have already submitted our paperwork in December with his current information on it. Our requested contact for PR is my email so I told him it shouldn't matter. He wants to get a PO box to secure his mail as he lives with his friend and his large family right now but is worried too many changes will lengthen the process of obtaining PR.

He has also moved from the most recent address on our submitted paper work as well, but his driver's licence has not been changed because he doesn't see the need to change it just for a few months before he moves up here.

One of my employers have changed also. So I guess I need to know what information changes does CIC need updated on? And can we apply for Nexus with his driver's licence even though his address is not up to date?

THanks so much!!!

Information changes that CIC needs to be updated on are:

-Birth or adoption of a child, death of a family member, marriage or divorce
-Change of contact information (e-mail, mailing address, telephone number)
-Appointment or change of representative or designated individual
-Decision to withdraw your application.

I cannot comment on Nexus because I am not familiar with it.

Hello All!

Since I recieved my AOR on Feb 28 and my SA on March 5, my husband got an email today saying that his application was received on December 22 2014.

It says "This confirms that your application for PR in Canada has been recieved by CIC on 2014/12/22."

So is this my husband's AOR? What happens next? Also, is this his application being processed in Lebanon? (since that's the country chosen for interview)

ALSO on ECAS it says that his Medical Results have been recieved as well!

Will we have to wait for some kind of approval or a "decision made" to happen? What happens next?

Thanks for all your help!! This forum is really helpful!! :D Much appreciated.

The e-mail your husband received is AOR2. Your SA letter would have stated where is application is being processed. Look at it again and see what the address is for you to mail documents if you need to. If it the address is Lebanon then that is where it is being processed.

Now you just wait. The visa office abroad will either contact you for additional information or they will contact you for a passport request (if you are not from a visa exempt country). If you are from a visa exempt country then you may just receive your COPR papers in the mail.

ECAS cannot be counted on for accuracy. Sometimes ECAS changes to decision made before you receive your passport request/COPR and sometimes it is the other way around.

Best of luck to you!

On our application, we submitted 9 pieces of photo.

May I ask which is your visa country?

I believe different visa countries have different requirements. The China checklist asked for 5 passport photos.

I havent seen an update on my husbands medicals being received, and someone told me not to worry, that sometimes they dont even post it. I emailed them the other day just to make sure and this is the response I got:

Dear Mrs. McG,

The application is currently in the queue for initial review. It will be reviewed in accordance with its place in the queue for applicants in this category, based on the application received date.

Our office cannot provide you with an update of your spouse’s case status by email on a regular basis, but rest assured we will contact you when the file has reached the next processing stage.

In order to serve all clients better, we will be unable to answer further correspondence at this time.
