Did u fill out the spouse sectin of the appendix a or just ur husband

The column for applicant: my hubby's name who is currently residing in the Philippines. Whereas, the column for spouse is where I typed my name and other information.
I also included the names and information of our 2 children, even if they are here with me in Calgary.

What exactly is AOR Acknowledge of Receipt right? But what receipt? Of your fees? And what does getting your AOR mean, you are close to finishing?

It's an acknowledgement of receipt of your application. AOR is the very first step in the process, usually 1-3 months after your application is actually received.

Hmmm All we have gotten is a email saying husband met requirements for sponsoring me. And online it says they received my application Dec 10th and received medical, and its been 4 months and nothing else...

You have received sponsor approval. AOR comes before sponsor approval but not everyone receives them. Don't worry, your application is on track.

Have you joined the Ottawa spreadsheet/thread? You will get a better idea of timelines from there. I think the current trend for Ottawa visa office is 6-8 months.

Hi there,

Just looking for some feedback to ease my husband's (sponsored by me for Canadian PR) mind.

He is hesitant to change his phone number and mailing address in the States since we have already submitted our paperwork in December with his current information on it. Our requested contact for PR is my email so I told him it shouldn't matter. He wants to get a PO box to secure his mail as he lives with his friend and his large family right now but is worried too many changes will lengthen the process of obtaining PR.

He has also moved from the most recent address on our submitted paper work as well, but his driver's licence has not been changed because he doesn't see the need to change it just for a few months before he moves up here.

One of my employers have changed also. So I guess I need to know what information changes does CIC need updated on? And can we apply for Nexus with his driver's licence even though his address is not up to date?

THanks so much!!!

Just an update on my end:

Embassy of Canada sent me an email on April 16, 2015 requesting additional documents (Appendix A for passport request; Certificate of entry & exit issued by Korean Immigration Service).

The following is a copy of the message in the email.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT:
Additional Document/Information Requirements at This Time

In order to continue processing your application, we require the following information and/or documents:
· Fully Completed Appendix A (attached) for yourself. Passport details are not required for any family member who is not accompanying you to Canada. (Each person should complete his/her own form.)
· Certificate of Entry and Exit issued by Korean Immigration Services
· Updated Family Register (showing your marriage)

To ensure the timely processing of your application, the document(s) and information we have requested must be provided to us within THIRTY (30) days of the date of this letter.

Unless we have specified otherwise, please send only original documents.

PLEASE RETURN A COPY OF THIS LETTER WITH THE REQUESTED DOCUMENTS.

Hello All!

Since I recieved my AOR on Feb 28 and my SA on March 5, my husband got an email today saying that his application was received on December 22 2014.

It says "This confirms that your application for PR in Canada has been recieved by CIC on 2014/12/22."

So is this my husband's AOR? What happens next? Also, is this his application being processed in Lebanon? (since that's the country chosen for interview)

ALSO on ECAS it says that his Medical Results have been recieved as well!

Will we have to wait for some kind of approval or a "decision made" to happen? What happens next?

Thanks for all your help!! This forum is really helpful!! :D Much appreciated.

Welcome Missmo! I have added you to the December and Paris spreadsheet (My vo is also Paris).

Hi RYIT - I have an update from Paris, please do update the spreadsheet for me - thank you. Congs - I see the progress on your end too. :)
April 20th - request for additional information as follows:
- IMM5490 - specifically qns 24 -31 - this is the sponsored spouse questionnaire
-IMM5562 - list of travels for both myself and my spouse for the past 10 years
- Marriage certificate ( we submitted this with the file originally, but they want it again, so don't know if Mississauga kept the copies)

They say we can email the documents - the message was sent by email too. Progress!! Aluta Continua - as the Portuguese would say

Hi Everyone,

We are very happy to report that when we logged onto ECAS today we read that we have received 'decision made' for both applications!

Although we haven't received formal notification.. we hope its all good/positive news for us!

I'm interested in others experience and also for an overview of the next steps from now?

Thanks again to all for sharing your experiences. This forum has been a wonderful source of information and I would really appreciate if my details would be updated on the spreadsheet..

Thanks again!

My wife just got AOR from the Embassy in Warsaw! Yay! Things are moving along!!! :D

Hey all, I got a medical request via email from CIC last week. It was stated on the same email that the Manila VO received my application on March 25th.

Goodluck to all of us!

Hello all,
I received my AOR2 from Manila VO today. They received my application on March 17th and no additional information or documents required at this time which is good news. My medicals will expire on July, so I really hope I can get a PR before this July. Just an update for those whose applications have been transferred to Manila. Cheers!
