Just sent out the application earlier today! Now the wait. Good luck to everyone! :)

Just wondering if there's a spreadsheet started for this month?

I don't think there's any. I don't know how to do it. Maybe you can start?

Hi everyone! I am in a situation here, I need your advice. My husband is here in Canada as a temporary worker, but we decided to send an application outside canada, because it is faster. I just sent the application 2 days ago. Then, yesterday, we found out a news from CIC saying that they are now offering open work permit for in canada applications. :o Now, I am confused. :-\ Should I withdraw my application and re-submit an in canada application? I called CIC and they said I can do that, but they cannot guarantee that they will be able to send back to me my application and original documents (considering that outside canada wanted some documents in their original form), plus my husband did his medical already (if we re-do it again, it's gonna cost us money.) :'(

I need an advise please... Thank you!

honestly from what i hear you are still better off with the outland application process as it is much faster. RIght now they are processing Aug 2013 inland applications and that is only at the sponsor evaluation stage. So then you add another 8 months before your husband gets a PR. My suggestion would be to stick to outland, because if you apply as inland, you will probably not hear anything until March 2016 (i.e. sponsor approval and work permit for your husband). There are many other threads that will outline benefits of outland.

Hi disappointed10! I've added your information to the spreadsheet. Just to clarify, did you apply on December 18th or did they receive the application on the 18th?

Also not sure if you are trying to add your information via your cell phone or mobile device, but if so I just discovered that you have to download a Google app called Sheets that will allow you to enter information on the spreadsheet. Hope this helps!

thank you, yeah i was using my phone, they recieved my application dec 18 :)

Dear friends,

I am a PR holder (of Indian origin) and am going to India to get married in February 2015. I have started filling-up forms for myself (sponsor) and my future wife (sponsored spouse). As we know CIC has issued a new form for IMM 0008 in November 2014 where the option to select Visa office (question 4) has been removed. How can I ensure that my wife's application is processed in New Delhi, India.

Also, my future wife has a multiple entry Canadian visitor visa and will accompany me to Canada after we get married. She will state in the form that she will be in Canada on the date of submission of application to CPC Mississauga. Hope they don't treat as In-Canada application.

Also, do I need to pay Sponsorship application (per application) $75 + Principal applicant $475 +Spouse of the principal applicant $550 i.e a total of C$1,100? Do I make this payment collectively or separately?

and what about Right of Permanent Resident Fee of $490?

Your comments will be appreciated.

Hi,

Fees that you need to pay is, Principal applicant (including $75 for sponsorship) = $550 + Right of Permanent Residence Fee = $490. So, the total is $1040.

They know it from the forms as to which country does the principal applicant belong to, so dont worry, it would get processed at New Delhi. Also at time of sponsorship approval they would mention as to which visa office they are sending the file for further processing.

There are two different addresses for the outland and inland applications, so send it to the right address to avoid any trouble. Also write where every possible in your application that its an outland application, like the cover letter, table of content (if you make one), and even the envelops.

Hope this helps. All the best. :)
